A good area for hiking and exploring the Black forest sights...
A good area for hiking and exploring the Black forest sights. Todtmoos is an attractive small town with shops and cafes’ however the food was so good at our hotel (Gersbacher) we opted to eat there each evening. There are some activities like bowling and putting in the area and a swimming pool , ( not used by us) ´ and some more adventurous activities for those so inclined. Good beer’ wine coffee and cakes also abound and parking is generally easy. The only negative is the proliferation of motorbikes’ extremely noisy and alarming on the twisty roads, which are also attracted to this region.

a very nice small town (or a village). the main streets have shops and cafes... a very good supermarket on the outskirts Schmidt's Market. a very nice park with water creek accessible from the supermarket parking lot. very good pizza at the hotel. there is a gas station with nice staff. overall very good experience.SharonShakedIsrael - 8.0Scored 8.0
I was only here 1 night so didn't even get to look around...
I was only here 1 night so didn't even get to look around but Todtmoos seemed to have plenty to see with traditional looking German stores and restaurants. I think there was a Christmas shop which I'd have loved to have a look round if I'd had time. This was utterly and completely true. The hostess turned out very friendly especially when we discovered she was of same origin as my wife’s. In the following ‘home’-language conversation a lot of helpful info was shared also for winter holiday.

On top of that he prepared the sauna (also for free) at he could see we were cold an tired. The breakfast was also excellent. Overall we can highly recommend this hotel
