This was our second stay, and we came back because of that breakfast. It was just as fantastic this time. Not just good food, but gourmet choices such as small slices of stuffed aubergines, bite-sized pieces of quiche, or avocado-pear salad, plus eggs cooked fresh for each person. And much, much more, all freshly prepared and garnished with light touches of fresh herbs. The location is on a quiet street that is just 100 m from the heart of the Altstadt. “The hotel was less luxurious than other hotels we stayed out on our trip, but it was an excellent value for the money. It appears to be family run. The people were friendly. Because of the relatively low cost of the hotel, we did not have high expectations for breakfast, but we were extremely surprised with the attention that was given to it. There were many dishes with the use of fresh herbs. Everything was beautifully presented, and there was a little car that identified in both German and English but everything was which made things easy. When we left, We were given a postcard of the town painted by the same artist that had a painting in the breakfast room. Although the room was rather simple, the bathroom is very well maintained. “The staff at this hotel made the visit exceptional! They were so warm and welcoming, truly some of the best we have encountered in all our travels. The room was basic, but clean and quite large. The breakfast was an amazing assortment of items and eggs were made fresh to order. The staff Extended breakfast hours for us when jet lag had us sleeping in. The kids loved their own pots of hot chocolate and the modest pool. Lovely cake and coffee is available all day in the lobby. Excellent location, too!” Read more

Breakfast room has huge windows looking out at the half-timbered houses of the quarter, and you select from a phantastic choice of items (several kinds of coffee, selection of eggs, ham with melon, vitello tonnato, warm cherry crumble, to name a few) to be brought to the table.
