Everythink in Günzburg was excellent. Easy to get there by train. Cosy center with lovely coffee an ice shops and resturants. We stayed in the hotel Goldene Traube three nights. We had a regular breakfast at the Reissler bakery (caffee, brezel, cakes..). We enjoyed pizzas and minestrone soups in Guntia pizzeria- very friendly to kids. Soups, kaesepaetzle, Maximillian's gulash, salats, kinderschnizel and apple fritters in brasserie Maximillan's at Marktplatz would recommend. Ice cream in Eiscafe numero Uno was dream for kids. And Legoland was above expectations: great fun for kids, but also for adults! Legoland was also easy accesable by a shuttle bus from train station.

We went there just for Legoland.
We went there just for Legoland. However we did try one Vietnamese restaurant (Schnell Restaurant Pham) and we like it so much we stuck with it! The three days we were there we ate only at Mrs Pham's!
Getting around the town on foot is easy.
Next time I would avoid renting an ev. This process of finding a way to pay for the charging of your electirc car is a nightmare for those not familiar with how this thing works in Germany and even worst for people like me that do not speak German.

Günzburg, a small town on the Danube has a delightful old central area with a thousand years of history. I knew absolutely nothing about it before, but spent three days on my own to kill time before travelling from a meeting here in the restored Castle - Schloss Reisensburg, on a hill overlooking the Danube, to another meeting in Italy. The Hotel Hirsch was a lucky choice, being right in the centre of the old town, where many of the buildings and views have been carefully restored with respect for their renaissance or baroque history. You can take a guided tour to visit the spectacularl rococo cathedral, and learn why it appears to be joined at the hip to a secondary school. It's a beautiful example of Zimmerman's architecture, with an interesting backstory. Look at the houses on the line of the old city walls, whose upper floors project successively further over the street below, and discover why one of the surviving towers on the city wall is called the Kuhturm (cow tower). For lots more information and relics of its period under the Romans and when it was in Austria under the Habsburgs, as well as more recent times, I can recommend the Heimatmuseum, but it's only open on Sunday afternoons. For dinner I got lucky in two of my three choices. Almost opposite the hotel is an excellent Greek restaurant called Platia, and a couple of blocks away an amazing Italian restaurant called Backstube at Ηοfgasse 21. I wouldn't bother with a couple of others which appeared on the web to be good.

Nice little bavarian town with a small historic centre, good services and selection of restaurants. Most people are visiting this place because Legoland Germany is located nearby and there is a lot of hotels in Günzburg.

Typical german town with a small old town.
Typical german town with a small old town. Nice old houses around Marktplatz.
It was hard to find a decent coffee/breakfast location. Lots of empty locations, probebly due to Covid.
If you want to visit Legoland, Günzburg is a very good place to stay. Its only about 9 Minutes by car away.

the hotel was in a very pleasant street with coffee shops and bars etc with local interests within easy reach, a very pleasant stay all round.
we ate our evening meal in the hotel and were very happy with the quality of the meal.
We totally loved our stay in Günzburg at Hotel Bettina garni. The room we stayed was No. 6 and it was on the first floor. Large, with a queen size double bed and a bunk bed for the kids, with a private bathroom and a balcony. We like it very much!
The breakfast was good, and the staff was amazing. Thank you for this wonderful stay at your hotel! We'll come back for sure!
This hotel is 5 minutes away by car from Legoland Germany and it is so easy to reach it!
In the nearby there is the Police station and a supermarket.
The hotel is located a bit further from the center of Günzburg in an industrial area, but if you are traveling by car it is not really a problem (the walking distance from the train station is about 20 minutes, I would say about 2 km). The rooms are nice, simple, clean, and this also applies to the bathroom. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Parking is also included in the room price. We didn't have breakfast so I can't say anything about that.
Nice and quiet place, nice and clean appartment, garden with playground, rich and tasty breakfast. The hotel is easy to find and has enough parking places - free of charge. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Shops etc. are in the vicinity, the place is close to the city centre (5 minutes drive) and Legoland (15 minutes drive).
Comfortable beds, large bathroom, quality towels and fixtures, extra pillow and blanket.
Nice touch with the Haribo for the kid and the Gunzburg tour map - we actually used it.
Easy check in at the machine.
Friendly and accommodating, we were able to leave our luggage in the bike garage before check in, while visiting Legoland.
Not so far away from Legoland, close to the supermarket and the center of Günzburg. The Staffs were all very kind and friendly, easy to ask everything we need. My kids were very happy with the playroom, there were a lot of cars to ride.
It is a nice and big apartment, the host is very nice and friendly. The apartment is clear, tidy and has everything you need, including the kitchen facilities. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, close to both Legoland and Gunzburg.
The hotel is close to the centre, good breakfast, but would be great to have more variety to kids.
The staff is always available to support in your needs.
The legoland is around 4km driving and easy to reach during the morning.
Friendly staff and very family-oriented hotel. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast. Ideally situated, close to the highway and walking distance to the historical center of Günzburg. Recommended!
Everything was good 👍personal is very friendly breakfast also was with a good choice. Hotel situated close to highway and not far from Legoland. Even with open windows all night we didn't hear a lot of noise!
central location, easy access (once you find the door), can easily walk to stores nearby. Parking was in the platz. plenty of space inside. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Not far to Legoland.
Staff was really friendly. Location of hotel is great. Breakfast was really good. I think the best past was the entrance with toys. My son never got bored while i am enjoying my coffee or beer.
Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff, centrally and beautifully located and within walking distance to the train station (from where there is a bus to Legoland).
