This rating is for the newer part of the hotel only. The rooms in the tower are spacious and have modern furniture. The view of the busy harbor is great. The breakfast is good.

Comfortable hotel located right at the port. Good location for your night underway to the ferry to Norway. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Guest parking at the back of the hotel. Beach at 5 minutes walk.

Jónheiður Iceland

Its definitively not a posh or funky place, but with a genuine atmoshpere of hospitality, basic but honestly good. Airy, clean and spacy rooms with now flashy fuzz. You dont need "to feel at home" (if you want this, then better stay at home), you need to feel welcome by open faces without the fake smiling grimacing in 5* up hotels!

We loved the room with a stunning view, over the harbour also with A beautiful big bath .It is close to everything including the train station, Restaurants+ shops. What made it more special was watching the ferry coming into the harbour that we were booked on for our trip to Iceland. We recommend this hotel & wish we could have stayed longer.
