I enjoyed walking in direction to Bahia Tijeretas, Playa Baquerizo, Playa La Loberia, Las Negritas view and also to the local mine near the airport. The evening / dinner in The Pier restaurant was excellent. The afternoon trip to El Junco volcano, Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado was not worth the money, although swimming near Playa Puerto Chino was nice.

I came for a volunteer trip during which we did the 360 boat tour (snorkeling in 3 locations) and a trip to the highlands together (2 separate days). I stayed 3 extra days alone, which is either not enough or just enough depending on what you want to do. I do NOT recommend staying the entire time on San Cristobal because you’ll run out of things to do but I found out too late that a day trip to Santa Cruz is better if you can dedicate 1.5-2 full days (depart a 7 am and return the next morning or afternoon). A same day trip only gives you about 7 hours before you have to return. To go to Isabela requires 2 separate boat trips and at least half a day (not sure about Española but it is currently closed). You can visit all the major beaches in 1-2 days but anything else on the island requires a booked boat trip so if you want to snorkel in every single spot you need to spend probably 5 days minimum. Snorkeling every single day isn’t for me so depending on your interests, plan accordingly.
Except for Playa Mann, most of the beaches are a little far and/or require a hike over lava rocks to access so bring good walking shoes over sandals if you have to pick.
Overall after 3 more days I was bored and ready to leave, but if I had more time to visit the other islands I would probably have felt differently!

The town is compact and convenient for travelers.
The town is compact and convenient for travelers. Only 10 minutes walk from the airport to downtown. Most of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, beaches locate within a 10-15 minutes walk distance. Beaches are full of wild animals such as sea lions, pelicans, iguanas, crabs, and fishes. The climate is quite comfortable. Safe to walk even in night time.

It is a nice, peaceful city. People is friendly and helpful. Local authorities have a good Information Office that is ready to help you to get around. Restaurant Giuseppe is exceptionally good. Sea wolves will be found in every beach and giant Galapagos turtles can be seen in a nursery, designed for conservation. There are nice natural places reachable with a short walk. There are good places for diving and snorkeling.

I liked Playa Mann a lot.
I liked Playa Mann a lot. Very convenient and economical for lunch and coffee. Lots of sea lions which are tame! A great way to get around is to hire a bike......about 15 bucks per day. Great walks and sightseeing via El Centro de Interpretation. This is the starting point for some great beaches and snorkelling.

It was an absolute treat for an active vacation.
It was an absolute treat for an active vacation. We loved the outdoor fun including snorkeling (our first time), hiking and beaches. The tour guides were engaging for visitors, but they are also stewards of the islands. We saw a plethora of unique animals - some you can’t see anywhere else in the world! And, the people who live and work on San Cristobal Island make this a special place on Earth.

The hotel was everything we could have wanted and more. It was homey and welcoming. The breakfast was homemade and different every day. The host and his family catered to our every need by providing us with transportation and they even did our laundry. The rooms are simple but provide everything you need. The water pressure is awesome for warm showers and the AC works great. The host purifies his water supply, so you can drink from the tap or fill your water bottles.
The hotel was great, ir was located very close to the pier, the breakfast was super good and when we had to travel to another island and we had pur breakfast payed for everyday they pack a box meal for your trip on boat pr plane to another island.
Of you come from the continent you can bring your water milk, yogurt or anything you like because the rooms have small refrigerators. And every room has a built In safe no cost for your valued items
*Very helpful staff for information.
*Location. With a few dollars you can get to the centrum so do not need to pay double price for central hotels. San Cristobal is very tiny city. 20 minutes walk to everywhere.
*Very clean
*Comfy Beds
*Clean and large bathroom
*Some comments say that there is so noise but I can say confidently that it is very quiet place.
*the weather is cool enough. So we did not need AC.
Christian is a great host and he lives there at the property. He gave us some ideas for what to do and arranged a highlands tour with a taxi driver that he knows. He seems to know everyone in town! Christian responds to messages in booking.com quickly if you have a question. The hotel has a nice upper level patio area where guests can go to relax and enjoy the views.
The hotel is close to the marina and main street. I washed some clothes and left them out on a clothes line on the rooftop. We then left the property for the day. When I returned my clothes were on a clothes horse, in the apartment. The owner was so kind that he bought a clothes horse to dry my washing and brought them in as it started to rain while we were away.
It’s a cross between a hostal and a hotel, in that there are no cooking facilities. Personally not an issue for me.
I really liked how clean my room was. Every day the bed was made, floors cleaned and bathroom dealt with.
Location is great. Very easy to walk everywhere and generally quiet area.
Breakfast is ok, I would recommend dining out.
The hotel is decorated so beautifully! We got a room on the top level with an ocean view and our "own" rooftop patio. The beds are comfortable, the room is clean. The owner is very friendly, and helped us book a last minute Kicker Rock tour which itself was fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel!
Jean Carlos and his mother were very helpful and friendly during our stay in Galápagos. The house was very clean and comfortable, and it came with all the services we needed. Also, Jean Carlos was very helpful with recommendations for things to do in San Cristobal.
What we liked best was the assistance provided by Sarah. She was extremely helpful, both in telling us about the hotel and in recommending local restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is a modern building and well maintained. Also, the breakfast was good.
The hotel's location is perfect. Very close to the airport. Right on the board walk. All shop and eateries are in few minutes of walking distance. Great view of the ocean from the terrace that was a part of our room. Staff were quite helpful and friendly.
The hotel has a beautiful property with a nice pool. The bed was very comfy. The hotel is in a very central location, just a short walk from the piers and boardwalks of San Cristobal. Many restaurants and shops nearby.
The hotel is well located and it is very unique in its arquitecture and decor. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. The room was very nice, airey with lots of windows.
Lovely hotel, good value for booking in advance in San Cristobal. Room had everything we needed. Nice little box of amenities provided on bed (shampoo, conditioner etc).
It was very close to Playa Mann, the rooms were spacious and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was also a short talk to the center of San Cristobal.
