Great location, close to PortAventura, the beaches and the famous coastal walk cami de Ronda. Hotel was nice and clean, pet friendly, with the best staff. We was with my man 1 week.
--The location is convenient, literally in 3 minutes the beach. You can throw on a towel and go to the beach directly from the hotel.
--Breakfast is monotonous. There was nothing new every day. But there was everything you needed for a snack: scrambled eggs, bacon, buns that could be fried, cheese, yogurt and fruit, cookies, coffee and tea. You can eat a hearty meal.
-- When we moved in, we were received by a very friendly receptionist. Positive and friendly, but the others were not very smiling. They seem to be very tired.
-- In hotel was very clean. The cleaners were wonderful. They cleaned every day, changed towels. They always gave extra towels. They cleaned up very quickly.

FAQs about hotels in Salou
On average, 3-star hotels in Salou cost £71 per night, and 4-star hotels in Salou are £114 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Salou can on average be found for £112 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Like all Costa Dorada resorts, Salou has a fantastic beach and fun watersports. But it’s the wide, palm-lined promenade that really makes it stand out. Boutiques and exclusive restaurants line its western end, while in the east the bay curves to a point where a sculpture leans out to sea. Head there for lovely views of the sandy beach and distant mountains.
Further round the coast towards Cap Salou the beach becomes rocky coves, whilst inland is PortAventura, Spain’s most visited theme park. This huge complex includes rides and rollercoasters in themed zones, and a waterpark with slides, flumes and pools galore. Also here is Lumine, a golf club boasting 2 courses designed by Greg Norman.
Next door is Port Halley shopping centre which also has a 3D cinema and bowling alley. The best shopping in Salou though is in the old town, where designer shops stay open until late.
Other Salou attractions include the dancing Font Illuminosa fountains, Bosc Aventura’s high ropes, and Aquopolis - a great waterpark for younger children. Although the town has plenty of arcades, clubs and bars, peace and quiet can be found.
Reus Airport is the nearest and it’s around 20 minutes’ drive from there to the apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Salou bookable on Booking.com.
Quiet area good for eating and relaxing. Panders to tourists a bit, so try to eat in more local restaurants if you want better value and tastier food. I would try to avoid eating anywhere along the beach as a lot of them are within the same chain/group which serve a practically identical menu (restaurants like bamboo, boca boca, etc) and their prices are quite expensive for what you get (food is average and drinks watered down). A few days here is plenty to relax, but any more might leave you bored. There were plenty of little supermarkets for essentials, and I would recommend grabbing a light breakfast at any of the michaelangelo locations! It's super cheap and yummy.
The best place we ate for dinner was hands down restaurant tahiti so definitely check that out for great paella.
Beware that there is a monopoly situation on taxis (uber is banned) so taxis are quite pricey (€32 for 15/20 minute ride)

The apartment is well situated in a great little beach town of Salou. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, it offered all the amenities of home. Even a washing machine.
Unfortunately the train service in Salou has been suspended since we last visited but they offer many options of bus service to get to neighbouring Reus or Tarragona and even offer direct bus rides to Barcelona's airport.

Everything about Salou is great.
Everything about Salou is great. Over the last 25 years been 7 ot 8 times. I can't fault anything about it. Good beaches, great hotels and very family orientated. It's such a pleasant place. The airport is close and then there is Port Aventura world which is without doubt the best theme park in Europe. Then there is lovely places adjacent to it in Cambrills, Taragona and La Pineda.
The night life is also very good. No I can't fault this place and hope to return soon..

Definitely not a luxury holiday.
Definitely not a luxury holiday. Decent destination for a quick bout of sun however, I wouldnt rush back. The dining options are definitely lacking as its mostly diners. Again, lack of luxury but you get what you pay for.
Lovely staff- very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, right by the beach! Breakfast and dinner buffet were really good. Facilities were good. We enjoyed using the gym, outside bar, the pool tables and the air hockey tables. The hotel has sea views and is close to restaurants and shops, but it's in the calmer more quiet side of Salou which we prefer. It's only a short 10 min walk to the more busy touristy area of Salou. The room was spacious and we loved the big terrace overlooking the sea. The bathroom was well renovated.
It is close to the seafront and one of the best restaurants in Salou.
I liked that there is a balcony which really helps make the stay more relaxing.
I never checked the restaurant as I was expected to pay around 12€ up front and there is no menu, it is just a buffet. In covid times a buffet is the last thing I want to experience.
The hotel is absolute anarchy, which is good and bad at the same time. Recommended for younger people.
The bar staff were excellent. really nice people, and the drinks reasonably priced.
The Magnolia Hotel is one of those gems you stumble across every so often, you want to tell everyone how fantastic it is but at the same time you just want to keep it all to yourself! The staff, the room, the breakfast, location and the rest ... all first class.
I spent one night alone at the beginning of my stay in Salou (friends/family arrived next day) and another night at the end of my stay a week later, I felt so safe and relaxed. I hope an opportunity presents itself to return sooner rather than later.
It is a nice 4-star hotel in a quiet place close to the beach. There are trekking paths along the beach as well as walking paths on the streets around the hotel which are well-lit at nights. The staff were nice and friendly and we were given a room with see-view at no extra charge. The small outdoor pool was also clean and well-maintained.
Great location, just few minutes from the parks. Great breakfast, very tasty and various: pancakes, salads, eggs, fruits, cornflakes, choros, coffee etc. Very big and nice pool just under the windows. We enjoyed parks and back to the hotel on the middle of the day to rest and chill in the pool. Then back again to the parks.
We enjoyed our stay in sun club salou.walkable distance to beach .clean hotel apartment.supermarket attached so easy shopping.pool, kids leisure activities are amazing.massive jazuzizi...always some entertainment in night time ...and tastey food ..we had great time , moreover helpful staff..
Totally enjoyed our stay here. We moved from another hotel as our flight was cancelled and had another 4 days in Salou. We were in apartment 1 top floor. Great panaromic views from the extensive balcony. kitchen facilities with cooker, kettle, microwave if needed.
Amazing hotel in the centre of Salou . Very clean , modern well kept , the rooms are spacious with a big balcony... very varied breakfast .. beautiful swimming pool .. all the restaurants , shops are close to hotel . Highly recommended.
Great hotel with friendly hard working staff. Food was amazing and drinks were reasonably priced. A great value stay in the centre of Salou tourist area and close to all beaches.
The hotel had amazing facilities, amazing location , rooms were cleaned to perfection and staff were so friendly honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to salou
Close to the sea and very well stuffed and comfortable. The building itself is not an apartment hotel, so people leave there might be unhappy if you’re too loud.
One of the newer hotel in PortAventura so the facilities look new. The double-room was spacious and the ceiling was very high, thus giving a sense of space.
Love this hotel stay here every time we go to salou very central, it is good value for money very comfortable and clean and lovely staff cannot fault it
