The room was great with a very comfortable bed and a shower with multiple modes. The views from the room were amazing, we could see the monastery of El Escorial directly opposite our window. The staff was nice and help us with all we needed.

SpainThe breakfast let the whole stay down! Coffee was awful. ( def not fresh) OJ was I’m sure from powder! Pastries were tired. Hot food not properly cooked and v greasy! I went for tea on 2 nd day, hot water was tepid! Fresh fruit and cereals were really the only edible option.

SpainA brilliant hotel - the room, shower and public areas were impossible to fault. The shower was about the best hotel shower we have ever had! Location was excellent - just metres from the El Escorial Palace. The staff spoke only a little English but nevertheless did their utmost to assist us and at all times were very friendly. The breakfast was very good indeed - both on the quality and quantity fronts: unlike some Spanish breakfasts (especially in the coronavirus era) it was not one that one left feeling hungry! Street parking seemed easy enough - fortunately for us, we were on a motorcycle which made it even easier as we parked on the (wide) pavement opposite.
United KingdomVery good breakfast for the price Location is perfect for visiting the Palace and the town where there are many restaurants catering for all. We stayed on our way to Salamanca and were upgraded to a room with fantastic views of the Palace and mountains. Will definately stay again if visiting San Lorenzo.

Hotel Florida is located right in the historical center of town, just steps from the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo, sometimes referred to as the 8th wonder of the world.
Located in a unique environment, the charming hotel, part of which was once the Palace - Headquarters of the Walon Guardians of King Fernando 7th, offers comfortable exterior-facing rooms, some of which has lovely views of the monastery.
El Escorial is located in the heart of the Guaderrama Sierra countryside and conveniently-located 45 minutes' drive from Madrid and well-served by train, bus and road. In addition, you will find the La Herrería golf course close by where guests can enjoy reduced rates and the ski resorts of Navacerrada and Valdesqui.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.5 for a two-person trip.
