Fogar Mozárabe is a rural complex of rest and reconnection in a unique medieval environment. Our houses of pure traditional Berciano style are located in the heart of Peñalba de Santiago. From its wooden corridors you will immerse yourself in the forests of the well-known Valley of Silence. Casa Elba is our first rural house, a cozy space ideal for up to six guests. It has been rehabilitated in 1992 scrupulously respecting its history and its original essence.
We started the project of our house almost three decades ago, when Peñalba de Santiago was a secret medieval village, to which the harsh access conditions had kept unchanged. Since 1992 we have managed this rural gem, a village of which we are extremely proud both for its history and for its people.
Peñalba de Santiago is a monumental village preserved and restored in its entirety, in a natural environment of special beauty. From the corridor of our house you can see the Valley of Silence and the peaks of the Aquilian Mountains, as well as the Mozarabic Church of the 10th century, a central element of enormous historical value for our people.
