Easy to find and comfortable accommodation.

Easy to find and comfortable accommodation. Sarah and Andy can share so much local knowledge and go out of their way to help you explore the area. The evening meals by Sarah are tasty, delicious and arouse the taste buds every time we sit down. This meant we did not need to use the local restaurants in the village. The breakfast is super with everything we wanted and more with a different choice every day.

    Scenery in the mountains.

Scenery in the mountains. Relaxed pace of life, you can sit in the sun in the countryside with solely the sounds of nature and the odd goat-bell ringing and there is no light pollution at night. Bar Godoy in Villaneuva de la Concepcion does very tasty home-cooked Spanish cuisine and the owner Carlos is very welcoming but be aware that evening meals are not served in many places before 8pm and quite a few places seemed to be shut on a Tuesday night. This was by far the best place we ate out at and reasonably priced. The local cheeses and cured meats are delicious.

Little village in the hills above Malaga with a lot of Spanish authenticity away from the tourist tracks. Although there is public traffic available from/to Malaga, a car makes it easier to get around. We had dinners in Bar Coco and Bar Chiquetete. Both good. Be aware however: with not knowledge of Spanish you will have a hard time to get what you want. In a nutshell, the area is great to relax off the beaten tourist tracks.
