Het huis was geweldig, en mooi en rustig gelegen in de bossen. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, biedt veel ruimte en comfort, en een heerlijk terras in de zon maar ook fijne plekken in de schaduw om te zitten als het te warm is. De verhuurder, Arnau, is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en vrijwel altijd bereikbaar als er iets is, en kan veel goede tips geven voor activiteiten en restaurants in de omgeving. Les Planes d'Hostoles is geen bijzonder leuk of mooi dorp, maar beschikt over alle basisvoorzieningen zoals wat horeca, een goede bakkerij en een prima supermarkt. In de omgeving liggen diverse mooie, oude dorpjes en je kunt geweldig wandelen in de omgeving. Een echte aanrader is het uitzichtpunt bij El Far, en de diverse vulkanen in de regio (met name rond Olot).
