This charming hotel, whose garden area is surrounded by an original 11th-Century Arab wall, rests a few metres from the escalator that leads to the city centre. Hotel del Cardenal is situated next to the Gate of Alfonso VI. Once the main entrance into Toledo, it is the only remaining Moorish gate in the medieval walls.
