Hostel was really close to two main subways, all the nearby streets had anything you'd might be looking for in the historic centre of the city. Staff was super helpful and provided some tips for what to do in the city. Rooms were really lofty and very confortable.

The location is excellent. It is super central and easily to rach from the metro. There are a lot of bars, restaurants and sightseeing spots around. The staff was nice and the check in and check out were easy. The facilities were clean and cleaned everyday. We had a balcony and look outside but once the door was closed it was quiet

Perfect location, can't really beat it. The room was basic but fine, the value for money is very good. I asked for (and received) a quiet room, I slept well but I can imagine that depends a bit on the other guests, the doors aren't very thick. The facilities were basic but everything worked (except the slider door to the bathroom was broken, but that wasn't an issue for me). The staff was friendly too.

Perfect location. 24 hours reception. Friendly staff.Very clean and daily cleaning of the rooms. The design and decoration both in the rooms and the corridors. Renovated rooms. Balcony seeing the main street. Restaurant, tapas bar and starbucks at ground floor (seperate). Close walking distance to hearth beaming centers of the city (Puerta del Sol, also the main mwtro station of Sol, Placa Mayor, Royal Palace and Theater, Gran Via, Prada Museum (longest one and 18 minutes to walk). Good value for such a location.

Very nice Hostal, with renovated facilities, nice room and private bathroom, the location and price ate the best points, close by Plaza Mayor, Opera and Sol. One nice restaurant in the ground floor, not associated with the hostal, where we had breakfast every day. You need to understand that rooms size in Europe are not US standard, these are smaller quarters. Only point to improve could be better wifi, sometimes was too slow, but we were able to use it with no interrumptions.

The palace is well located. The room are clean and of new furnishment. However, I found the room a little bit tiny with a lot of rumore due to other guests and form other rooms and bath.

Our say at Don Alfonso was very nice: the hotel is extremely well located, 2 minutes away from La Puerta del Sol (which is the very center of Madrid, you can visit the whole city by foot from there), the staff was very nice and the rooms very clean and confortable.
