The location is nice, walking distance to most of the tourists place within half an hour. The metro station is also very close. And it’s located in an quite area which is really nice. There is a very nice supermarket at the back of the hotel. The room is clean and comfortable, they clean the room everyday. There is a shared area where you can find coffee machine and microwave. The staffs are also friendly and helpful, I would recommend this hotel.

Maybe the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. Cleaning ladies were cleaning the room every day. The location is perfect, near the gothic part of the city, the marine, the ciutandela park, the metro and the bus stop, which connects this area with the whole city.

We found the bed quite squeaky and not very comfortable. We didn't manage to get the wifi running. It did connect but any download just wasn't happening.
Great location in the Gothic District, just next to a beautiful train station. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was clean and generally nice.

“Noisy renovation in front of my small room”

During my 4-night stay, hostel was under reconstruction, they were making new isolation on the walls in front of my doors and on the whole floor. The noise was constant from 9 am till 6 pm. The room could be bigger as it was saying double bed, or two single beds, while they gave me a single bed.
Location of hostel is good, and generally rooms are clean and comfy for this price.

The vicinity of the hotel was very noisy, especially at night, we stayed for three days and no one came to clean the room every day, even though we posted a cleaning notice (and asked them directly, twice) and I paid by credit card, an employee did not have my consent, but settle my room bill in US dollars.

The street where Hostal Orleans is located is rather busy with a lot of people hanging out/partying in front of the building until 3 am. But this was our second time in Barcelona, so we were prepared and used earplugs :-)
The location was perfect for us to explore the city and 10 min walking to the beach. And it is next door to the railway station, so we had no problem to get to the airport using the train connection.

No lift, so you have to climb 3 flights of stairs with your luggage... Hostal is next door to a club playing loud music. There were Cockroaches in the lobby too on our last day which was a shame.
Comfy beds, clean towels every day.

We arrived quite late, around 12:30 am and the receptionist was not welcoming. He didn't understand the country that we are coming from and identity check took nearly 10 minutes. But besides this, I think the strangest thing was leaving the keys to the reception when you leave the hostel every time. I have never been asked to leave my keys to the reception during my accommodation. It was too weird. I didn't want to leave it since our stuff was at room but the attitude was rude and they were so strict - I had no other choice but leave it every day.
The location was quite nice, we didn't use public transportation and walked to everywhere. The room was clean.
