Peralada Golf is 15 km from the apartment, while Dalí Museum (Figueres)is 19 km from the property. The nearest airports are Girona-Costa Brava Airport & Perpignan Airport approximately 1 hours drive. The closest beaches are Roses town and Santa Margarita where there are numerous restaurants, bars and shops, whilst a little further afield are many sheltered coves and smaller sandy beaches. There are also many water-sport facilities and hire companies (jet-ski etc). The nearest supermarket is in the neighbouring village of Palau Saverdera (1.8km) and many others (Lidl/Carrefour/Mercadona etc) within the area. Go-karting, mini golf & water park can be found in Roses; and for nature lovers the Cap de Creus National Park boats numerous hiking/cycling routes. St Pere de Rhodes stands out at 500 metres of altitude, with views of the Cap and the Pyrenees. It is an 11th-century monastery whose first structures date from about 750 AD. Cadaqués is the most well known village, home of artists and writers, with sophisticated atmosphere, near Port Lligat where Dalí built his home in a paradise small bay. The Emporda wine route is also a popular discovery !! An idyllic setting to recharge your batteries!

We first discovered this part of the world whilst living in the Dordogne, France where we had a gite business for 16 years. We initially bought a holiday apartment here, and after deciding it was time to move on from Dordogne, we were hard pressed to find another permanent location in France which offered as much as here!! We are blessed to live in such a beautiful spot, with views of the sea, open countryside and mountains and a such a relaxed way of life, and after just 2 years here, have decided that it is too good not to share !!
