It was very close to Gran Via and other squares. It was very comfortable and clean, the room was cozy and the bed and pillows very comfortable.

Hostal Mendoza was a paradise that we found in the midst of chaos. My girlfriends and I had our flights canceled and we were stuck in Madrid for three days because of the biggest snowfall of the last 50 years... We were short of money and afraid of not finding a good place to stay and rest after more than 10 hours suffered at the airport and walking in the snow with our bags. The hotel, in addition to having a very fair price, has an excellent location. The room is comfortable with good beds and a powerful heater (which is essential for winter) and Lorenzo, who was taking care of the reception, was the most attentive and helpful person we met during those days in Madrid. I recommend it to everyone and, if I return to Madrid one day, I will certainly stay at Hostal Mendoza again :)

The hostal was great. Excellent value for money. Central! Couldn’t be better located. Got a beautiful room, facing the street and the opposite building. Lots of light! 👍🏻I’d recommend the windows of some rooms facing the opposite building to be covered with privacy frosted plastic for those who like light but not people looking inside. Madrid is very warm in summer and being naked or lightly dressed with the curtains open was not possible. Nothing that would ruin my stay, but just a tip there! 😉 You can walk everywhere. The bed was really comfy. You are staying in the center of vibrant-night-life Madrid! There will be some noise. Nothing strange about that, nor disturbing. If you can’t understand that, stay in a rural hotel. Staff was polite and friendly and talked just enough! Definitely coming back in my next trips to Madrid. Totally recommend it!
