Luis, the owner of this small family hotel, is a good person and fair man. I made a non-refundable booking before covid, and he moved it forward until I was able to travel. He honored my original reservation and payment. His place is quiet and comfortable. He provides a list of his favorite restaurants and what to order at each one. The location is exceptional. There is a beach practically at either end of the street, and you are blocks away from San Sebastian’s many outstanding restaurants. Stayed there for a week and I hated to leave.

San Sebastian is a beautiful city. The tapas bars are an experience. Walkable city from joakina pension and owner Luis helpful with trains and buses to Bilbao, St Jean de Luc, and Pamplona. The espresso coffee in shared dining area with refrigerator and microwave made getting up and on the road faster. Also enjoyed shopping! Thank you for hospitality.

Wonderful pension, especially Luis and the staff. Kitchen is an excellent addition: has coffee, tea and water available at all times. Pleasant 10 minutes walk to La Concha and Old Town. Lots of small cafes and restaurants around the area. Can walk from bus/train station (15 minutes). This is our second time to stay here.

    Good morning. All rooms are quite heated, but I think best room for might be arena, double with private bath and balcony view. Blue has a very big bed, but the view is not the best now. Regards

Please note that children are allowed to stay in the apartments, but not in the rooms.

The low floor and fechada are under renovation, almost over, waiting for the new railings. Renovation work is done from 09:00 to 17:30 from Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. Some rooms may be affected by noise but as the works are almost over the only affection now is the view. The balcony of the rooms with balcony (arena and blue) is not available till ends of July approx, but windows can be opened so rooms have fresh air.
