The noise level in the rooms/hallway was unacceptable. The water from the room above us sounded like we were under a waterfall. We could hear everything going on in the hallway outside of our room. Also, a maid walked into our room without knocking in the morning which was a bit weird.
The location was fantastic! The hotel itself is stylish and has a lot of unique amenities that make it inviting. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The mint-tea water in the lounge was so tasty!

The idea of the hotel is amazing and they take care of being green and contribute to the wellbeing of the planet I chose to go with the sea this time and will try the other two options next time (herbs and flowers) Location was perfect allowing me to go and get gifts for my family. the La Rambla is very close I walked for 5 minutes. The city view from my room was very nice. I stayed there for less than 24 hours The staff was really nice and they allowed me to check-in couple of hours earlier It was my first time in Barcelona and I liked it and planning to soon visit it again and will defiantly stay in Praktik Essens if I managed to find free rooms

There is nothing that i can unlike. The best hotel for its value i've ever seen.
Unusual rooms layout, design, extra cleaned rooms, location, administrator. Amazing terrace eith outdoor zone, unlimited free coffee, cakes and water. If I'll come to Barcelona again I'll stay in this hotel again.

The staff of the hotel is awesome. Very friendly, made us feel so comfortable right away. Design of the hotel is incredible and the terrace is amazing for a coffee or a glass of wine. Our room was very clean, beautifully decorated, very spacious and we really enjoyed our bed. Can’t wait to visit again Barcelona and stay at the same hotel in this great location! 😎

We loved absolutely everything! We would definitely book the same hotel again. We were there with our 3y old kid. The staff is super nice, the location is excellent, the room was spacious with a huge double bed and a huge tv screen on the wall. There was a single bed prepared for our kid and we loved the large comfortable shower area. The hotel has a lounge bar area with self service: coffee, lemonade and muffins in the morning and wine&snacks in the evening. The location is close to La Rambla and next to the famous restaurant El Nacional. Really great value for money!

“Pleasant stay in the heart of Barcelona!”

For my second stay, I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness. It was obvious that cleaner has used the same cleaning cloth to wipe all surfaces, i.e the shower area, the toilet seat and the door frames of the bathroom or shower glass panel and possibly all other surfaces. ...I found hair pieces on toilet seat, on door frame of the bathroom, it was unpleasant especially knowing that those were not mine! Could see that the floor was not properly vacuumed as I also discovered hair on the floor. And hotel should consider installing more than one hook in the bathroom to hang the towels to avoid changing towels on daily basis unless necessary. Room could get a little warm in the middle of the night even though I did not switch on heating.
Location is great, in proximity to Casa Batlo, Passeig de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas, etc. Staff always friendly and helpful and they even added complimentary happy hours for clients of the hotel to enjoy at its lounge. Room is of good size with very comfortable bed and good shower.

This is a lovely little boutique hotel in a perfect location just off Passeig de Gracia. It's got bags of personality and the people at the fornt desk are very friendly and helpful. They make the most of limited space within the property. They offer free refreshments in a very nice communal area and terrace from 6 - 8 pm. Would highly recommend for a short trip to Barcelona.

Small niggles, since the place was great - the showerhead was really silted up from the hard water. I'd have liked access to filtered (not bottled) water since the water in Barcelona is so chalky it makes London's look soft. Also, the towels were replaced at one point even though we had specifically hung them up.
Location was perfect, really close to a central metro hub and in a vibrant part of the city. The hotel is great and the amenities are fantastic - it really opened my eyes to what can be offered and still fall under the 2* rating! Coffee machines in the room, every day there was a small offering of muffins or similar in the lovely lounge area. There was even a pillow menu, which I LOVED. Rooms were quiet, aircon wasn't intrusive. All in all, a good stay.

Bit hot in our room.
Communal spaces are beautiful - gorgeous terrace, lovely coffee and cake left for guests. And beautiful soap, shower gel etc for each room. Also the staff are lovely - they were really kind and patient towards our toddler.
