This is our second visit on way back to Santander. The hotel is a revelation - well located to break our journey from the South & very easy to find with dedicated parking. Staff are very welcoming & helpful & check in is efficient & fast. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment & parts not yet done are a little tired but are immaculately clean. Rooms are of a good size, WiFi enabled & very clean. Comfy beds & pillows. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was very good & great value. Breakfast (that was included in the price) is taken across the road (very quiet road) in a cafe/restaurant/bar - typical Spanish breakfast (assorted boccadillos, OJ, coffee) which was very tasty. We drank here on last visit - great wine - the bar has a terrace & garden with great views of the castle. The easily walked to village has a castle (now a hotel) a lovely old church & is very picturesque.
