Tabaiba Guesthouse is a family-run accommodation off the beaten track, located in the green north of Tenerife and ideal for nature lovers. Our house is located in the historic centre of Buenavista del Norte, close to the main hiking trails of the Teno Mountains. We have restored a typical Canarian village house and converted the ground floor into a cosy bed and breakfast with five functionally and modernly furnished rooms. We live on the first floor. After a day in the midst of beautiful nature, you can relax on our wonderful roof terrace or meet other fellow travellers. In the morning, you will enjoy a healthy breakfast with local products. One of your hosts, Sergio, is a professional mountain guide and offers tailor-made hiking tours.
Welcome to Tabaiba Guesthouse, your home with a relaxed and easy going atmosphere. We are Karin and Sergio Flores, two Tenerife lovers and mountain fans. Karin (German) has a Master in Business Administration and manages the guesthouse. Sergio (Spanish) is a Professional Mountain Guide and expert in nature hiking with more than 35 years of experience. With our rural bed and breakfast accommodation we have fulfilled a dream. Guests often ask us what brought us here. Our answer is quite simple: the beauty of nature and the cheerfulness of the “tinerfeños”. We invite you to share our passion for this unique place.
Our region is considered an insider tip far away from mass tourism where you experience the real life of Tenerife. Located in the northwesterly-most-point of Tenerife, a mountainous area with lush vegetation, rugged coast and quaint villages. Its countryside is among the most virgin of Tenerife. 80% of the municipal area is a nature reserve, like Teno Rural Park with its stunning rural and marine landscapes. The pleasant climatic conditions invite for outdoor activities. In summer, temperatures reach 20-25°C (rarely over 30°C), in winter between 17 and 20°C. Buenavista del Norte is a beautiful and peaceful village where it is easy to get in contact with the locals and their traditions. Despite of being a small village you will find everything you need in your holiday: cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy and petrol station. Charming streets and historical buildings invite for a stroll. The market square is a social meeting point for both tinerfeños and visitors.
