SAFE, RURAL LOCATION that's FANTASTIC place to stay to relax. Wifi . Offering a PRIVATE POOL open 9-9 and a HOT TUB. Ten minutes to BEACHES, towns, RESTAURANTS & BARS. Approx 50 mins to beautiful, HISTORIC GRANADA with SKIING, The Alhambra Palace & great nightlife. About 1hr to MINI HOLLYWOOD & MALAGA. Activities easily found; water sports, hiking, rock climbing & museums. 10 mins from EXCELLENT MOTORWAY CONNECTIONS to 3 airports & ALL DIRECTIONS. A well appointed 25m sq studio apartment.
We moved to Spain in 2001, to this beautiful and sunny part of Andalucia. We live in a stunningly rebuilt white mountain village, El Ferrer, just 10 minutes from the sparkling, warm, clear waters of the Mediterranean, and some of the best, emptiest beaches in Southern Spain. We are also just one hour from the amazing city of Granada, and also just one hour from the major Spanish cities of Malaga and Almeria.
Barranco Ferrer - the wonderful hidden gem of a valley, full of almond and olive trees, and home to the delicious natural El Almendro Seco red wine, made by your hosts, Mike and Lucy. Just 7km from the A7 motorway and the lively beach resort of Castell de Ferro, Barranco Ferrer is reached by a newly-tarmacked road, albeit a little steep and windy as you climb the 360 metres up to the village.
