Upstairs bar very poor service....shame as was lovely up there. Huge gouge on wooden floor in bedroom which did not wow me on arrival... have stayed in a couple of other hotels in Madrid and just didn’t think this one quite as good!
Location was brilliant, beds very comfortable, service was ok .... bar staff very good downstairs... nice touches re complimentary soft drinks and nespresso machine in room.

Breakfast was too expensive at 26€ each The hotel offered to reduce this to 20€ as a one time offer at check in for the duration of our stay as long as we paid in advance(We had to pay for our rooms on arrival) We elected to have breakfast in a nearby cafe for about a quarter of the cost.

The staff is absolutely amazing. They are incredibly helpful, really nice, smiling, willing to help at any time and with anything. I got the room way before check-in time. I arrived early in the morning to the hotel (7.30am) and was just planning to leave my suitcase there and go for a walk until 3pm where check-in is expected, however they told me I can immediately use a room, there is a ready one and no need for me to wait. This was amazing. The hotel is really nice an classy, very hip! There is a scent inside, not sure what it is, but its nice.

The Hotel in itself is quite good, good location, etc. but… After the reservation I have received (via Booking.com) an offer: Since they did not sell all the rooms for weekend of my reservation (30th Oct-2nd Nov) they offer me a better room (“most popular”, 6th floor?) with the “Street View”, on the top of the building with the cross Madrid’s Streets view. Then I’ve chosen this offer +12EURO per night (total 36 EURO for 3 nights). When I arrived there were some “problems” to “find” that room in the system. Eventually I got room on 4th floor. Right, with the “Street View” but not that what was on the picture attached to the e-mail offer. I did not claim (though I should) because I came to Madrid to relax not to argue with the staff for 4 days. So, it looks like they try to draw the additional money from Your pocket. Then, whenever You will get an offer like that be sure before what You are going to choose.
