Villa Strelitzia is a spacious and bright house with a large garden and an outdoor terrace, 10 minutes from the beach. The house has 3 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 terrace, fully equipped kitchen, garage and garden (in total 400 square meters approximately). It is good for couples, families, friends, business travelers and sportspeople (there is plenty of room to store sports equipment). 4 rooms for 7 persons (+1 re accommodation availability with the possibility of one extra bed and 1 cot, on request). Villa Strelitzia is located in the village of Ingenio, in the southeast of the island. There are supermarkets, cafes/bars, restaurants and health services nearby. Great communication, the house is about 10´ by taxi or by car from the Gran Canaria international airport and 15-20´far from Las Palmas main City, and it is 100 meters far from the public transport, and 30´ far from the South of the island, Maspalomas Beach, very touristy place. It is ideally situated half way up the island, with equal distance to the beaches of the south, and the history, architecture and shopping of the North, in the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

In the municipality of Ingenio are conserved Canarian traditions such as drafts and handicrafts, celebrating each summer its International Festival of Folklore, with the participation of musical groups from countries as diverse as Mexico, Romania, Colombia, Russia, Uganda, etc. Nowadays, many of its neighborhoods preserve toponyms referring to the parts of the sugar cane that was cultivated in those zones: for example, the Bagacera, Carrizal or The Sequero. The situation of the islands next to the Tropic of Cancer and the influence of the trade winds provide to Ingenio an arid-warm climate, with average temperatures of 18º centigrade in winter and 25º in summer.
