Laivahostel S/S Bore
Linnankatu 72, 20100 Turku, Finland – Great location - show map
that was interesting experience to sleep on the boat, nice common space with kitchen. location very good, bus stop next to.
PolandIt is exactly what you think it is. A tiny cabin on a nice renovated ship. Nothing too comfortable but a good way to see how it feels to be on a vessel like this. It was nice that they had a room for my bicycle. But as always make sure to bring a good lock for your bike.
GermanyThis hotel is great for one-two night. It's located near the harbour, so there are lots of things to see in the area and a great option for those who are taking a morning ferry. The breakfast was excellent, and you can use the ship's sauna in the morning if you feel like a morning bath. If you ever went on a cruise on this ship it's also very nostalgic to see it again, this time without the noise! Definitely worth the experience, and the staff on the ship are very friendly and helpful!
IcelandIt was a ship. I felt like I was on a cruise without the motion. It was next door to the Maritime Museum and only a 5 minute walk to Turku Castle.
United KingdomIt was cool experience. It was our first time to stay in a boat hostel. A boat converted into a hostel. It was interesting as it takes us back to history. There was a narrative as to how it became into a hostel. There was also a museum in the same boat. Rate was fair enough and included breakfast already. Breakfast had coffee, hot chocolate, milk and tea. There were some homemade cookies, which were cool. Porridge was served. There were also a couple of fruits. Bread, butter and jam was served. Boiled egg was served and a few salad selections. Location was also approximate to the tourist attractions like the Turku castle and just a walk away from the boat terminal. There is also a grocery store nearby, which is Sale. Bus stop is also nearby. Rate also allowed us to pay at the hotel.
PhilippinesQuick walk to Viking Line and also just a 30min walk to city centre or a short bus ride. Very unique place to sleep and definately okay for one or two nights. Cabins are, of course, very small but it was enough for me and I had a good night sleep. Had a nice beer at the cafe right on the ship. Breakfast was also good!
GermanyThe description on the booking.com says all. It's relatively cheap and highly interesting accomodation in a nice surroundings. The small cabin is small and the bathroom next to small cabin is really tiny. But it's there and it works. Breakfast was ok and the staff was really helpful
PolandThe breakfast the best even went for a walk afterwards and still got free coffee. The reception people were fantastic. Will be staying again. All my mates in Australia will also stay your boat is on my YouTube channel you guys are the best
FinlandSauna, old ships atmospher, nice feeling like travell by Titanic,
SwedenHi! the breakfast was very rich and tasty. Good location, everything is nearby. Special thanks for the beautiful view of the river and rocks. The room was comfortable, neat and quiet. the staff is friendly and helpful, all my requests were taken into account. The price matches the quality. I also liked the extractor fan in the room. My rating is 9 out of 10.
