Laivahostel S/S Bore
Linnankatu 72, 20100 Turku, Finland – Great location - show map
Extremely kind and helpful staff. The breakfast is quite good for a hostel breakfast.
FinlandA cool experience in an excellent location. Definitely more fun than the usual accommodation.
Polandparking is great. The location is ok, a bit far from the city center, but bikes or buses are available. the breakfast was good (not excellent)
IsraelInteresting experience of staying on ship. Not comfortable for long stays since the room is very small, but for couple of nights stay is very uniqe option. Location right next to the castle and the tourist port.
IsraelThe uniqueness of the experience of staying on a cruise ship from the 60s. Also, for a hostel, it was a quiet and comfy stay. Having one's own cabin with bath is a big plus for the money spent, and with parking included, very necessary in Turku!. Also, the included morning sauna is a really nice amenity.
United States of AmericaIf the sauna was open for like even one more hour, would've given this a 5/5. That being said, reasonable pricing at close to the center.
FinlandFact the hostel was in a solidly Finnish created structure built when Finland was known for its skill in ship building and management of transatlantic shipping lines. That it was part of a larger historical collection of ships linked to Finland added to it significance.
United States of AmericaDifferent and quirky experience. Great location. Stayed longer than planned.
United KingdomShort walk to the ferry terminals. Morning sauna was nice. Bedroom was roomy and comfortable.
United States of AmericaUnique atmosphere of a classic passenger ship, comfortable bed, good sauna open in the morning.
