A wonderful, historic hotel that served me very well as a base for a few days of remote work, birdwatching, and relaxation on the lake. Within easy reach of Parikkala, Siikalahti, and Punkaharju. The caretakers were very friendly, even allowing me to use a spare router to make sure I had strong enough internet to work.

The hotel is situated in a small village with a very good supermarket close by. The Fireman Centre is a very good place to stay. It is clean and well laid out, the room and bathroom were large. Olga and Sergei were very welcoming and helpful, even providing something for breakfast although it was not included.
