Hilmarsstova a Hobbit Hole "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort." There are 2 bunk beds (bottom bed can easily be transformed to become a double bed). There is a couch that likewise easily can be transformed as a double bed. The cabin has all necessary equipment to give you a comfortable stay and to prepare a good meal and otherwise to relax. (Stove, oven, pot and pans, Weber grill, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc.
I and my wife Ester Mortensen, are both born and raised in Suðuroy Faroe Islands. Together we have 2 children, Femja born 1995 and Bartal born 2005. Ester works as a nurse at the local hospital, and I work for the Telephone company. We live in our own house close to Hilmarsstova. We know Suduroy in and out, and we are always ready to assist with all guidance and information you might need for your stay. Our interest is to live in our small community. We are very anxious to take good care of nature and enjoy its gifts of gentleness. This gives us, among other things opportunity to have our own sheep grazing near the Cottage, and a small boat always lying ready to sail for catching fresh fish. We love the clean air in the Faroes, mixed with the fresh scent of Atlantic Ocean Waves hitting the rocks. It cleanses the body and soul to be allowed to stay here on our gem of an island and will give you as tenant lots of energy and vitality to bring back home to the larger and more fast-paced society!
