Easy parking. Good choice of restaurants and bars. Good history to read up about. The hotel de commerce has a very good menu and is excellent value for money. I would reccomend booking. All the restaurants we ate in were good.

Thones is beautiful.
Thones is beautiful. The surroundings are magnificent, there is lots to do in the vicinity and the people are extremely friendly. The French alps are gorgeous, and its a much calmer atmosphere than down the valley in Annecy.ShariNetherlands

The road on which the hotel is located is quite busy but you don't notice that after a while and if you keep windows closed. Accessing the room was interesting - we sort of had to figure out the location of our room ourselves but it was okay. The hotel has an elevator - which we saw after lugging luggage. Again, okay.

The views were incredible and it was so relaxing sitting on the veranda in the evening listening to crickets and watching bats. The host was very kind and has plenty of information. There was a nice river walk in to Thones where you can do your shopping if cooking at the accommodation. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

It's nicely located for us to head to the ski stations. The bed was comfortable and the blankets were super cozy and warm. The owners were sweet and friendly. They can offer dinner & breakfast at an additional cost (we didn't partake but nice to know it's an option).

It is warm and pleasant inside, staff were very friendly. Bathroom was nicely done, room was quite small but as I was travelling along for one night, it was fine.
