Excellent and varied skiing, altitude guarantees good snow, village atmosphere, plenty of shops and restaurants, regular free bus service around the resort. A perfect winter destination.
I recommend 'Underground' 'Cocorico' and 'Doudoune club' for after-ski fun.

Very good resort with excellent choice of ski runs and plenty of lifts. Resort bus service is great. Long transfer from Geneva (3 hours drive) but worth it. Great choice of restaurants of very good quality, but eating out can be expensive.

Great location and epic view out over some of the runs at La Daille from our balcony. Apartment was cosy and comfortable, kitchen had all the cooking utensils and plates etc you'd need. Checking in was tricky as there is no reception but it got sorted pretty quickly. There is no common drying room for ski gear, so hang your ski clothing on the hooks in the apartment to dry. Handy supermarket located nearby and the shuttle bus is easy walking distance to take you to Val d'Isere. We stayed in the winter so the pool wasn't operating, but overall a delightful winter ski base.

bad situation as to reach it by car or train it s a nightmare . the roads are plenty of holes and the travel is too long. Also we have been in a restaurant fondue factory ski gallery : food awful and even not able to cook good pasta as i have been told it was a spaniard to cook italian meals !!!! the pasta was burnt and not al dente. The boss of the restaurant was very friendly and commercial and made some discounts after we told him what was going on.

Combining 3 mountains, Val d’isere is one of the top ski destinations in France. There are all type of slopes for any level of skiers/snowboarders prepared regularly. The number and the quality of the lifts is over the general standards of Europe (as I’ve been skiing over 40 years in numerous destinations in Europe) providing easy access between Val d’isere and Tignes.
The Avancher is a great hotel - the rooms are spacious, modern, very clean and the beds were great! The breakfast is fantastic and the spa is superb - everything you need to start and end a good day of skiing :-)
Do note that it's located a few hundred meters from the village center, but it's not really a problem. There's a bus going every few minutes up and down the main street, with a stop some 150m from the hotel. It will get you to any of the lifts, and when not carrying your skis, it's a nice stroll to the village center.
We were provided a better room than expected/booked. Thomas and Roman, at the reception when we arrived, were extremely polite, helpful and dedicated as much time as we needed to show us around. Even before our arrival, we had a call clarifying to us all the details we needed about the storage of our bikes. Safe storage for our bikes was also provided and car parking place in front of the hotel. Wonderful experience and positive surprises all the way!
Well furnished & with current decor .
Staff were hardworking ,a mixture of ages which is always encouraging.
Very pleasant staff.
Breakfast was varied & lots of it.
Lovely Bar/Lounge…not too expensive.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant .
A small hotel & we will be back.
We have stayed in Val for 25 years plus…usually at the 5* hotels ..very pleasantly surprised by The Everest & it’s team.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was definitely better than a regular 3 star hotel. It did not have a lavish interior decoration but it was quite freshly renovated, cosy and clean and had all the amenities needed during a ski vacation (sauna, spa area). But the best part of the hotel was undeniably the restaurant and the staff!
The apartment was very (no... VERY) warm and comfortable.
Close to all you need during the ski vacation: bakery, grocery, ski renting shop, ski lifts, ski pass office.
Beautiful views from the window and around the hotel.
Cleaning welcome kit was very useful. Even soap and shower gel we got.
Great location and outstanding staff. This was our second visit and we had an amazing visit. Each and every member of the Hotel Christiania team went out of their way to help may our stay pleasant. I can't say enough good things about them.
Very good but disappointed that the choice of jam was distinctly dull... and lacked imagination for a luxury hotel in the Alps.
Strawberry and rasberry!! Why not local fruits and home made jams.
Cheese was not that fresh ..
The breakfast was everything I needed and the choice was excellent. The location is very central for all amenities and for skiing. The room and bed were very comfortable and the hotel staff were helpful and accommodating.
Breakfast was nice although pretty simple. The hotel (Hotel Altitude) and staff were first class top shelf the whole time and I would strongly recommend that hotel to anyone staying in Val d'Isere.
Bought a ski pass at reception. Breakfast excellent and plentiful. Staff friendly and fun. Comfortable bedroom, spa, useful ski/boot room, meets the requirements for a ski hotel. Slept like a log.
Very helpfull and nice staff. Walking distance from multiple lifts, grocery store and some restaurants. I will definitely consider staying in this hotel if I go to Val D'isere.
The well-equipped apartment is located in a relatively quiet area, a few hundred meters from the centre. Convenient for shopping and restaurants, and allows ski in ski out.
Unbelievable location right in the heart of the town and a 5min walk from the lifts .
Traditional mountain hotel but with good size rooms and exceptional staff
Ski hire shop on-site. Complimentary shuttle to and from slopes from 9-5pm. Ski back to hotel possible. Staff were excellent. Spa facilities were very good.
