We heard from people in the village that the director of the thermal spa bought the beautiful building La souveraine in May and it is recently opened to welcome guests after being left empty for 30 years. Now they are gradually improving the building and hotel. That information in mind makes sense, the exterior of the building could definitely need some love and paint but is future work.

We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and that was not very special. Everything seems to be prepared upfront, for example the french fries were not very tasty. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and provided a superb experience to our stay. The restaurant food was extremely good, as was the options available at breakfast.
