This modern, newly renovated 35 sqm apartment accomodates up to 4 guests in a bedroom and a living-room. Centrally located in the heart of the 10th arrondissement, in the hip Canal Saint Martin area, it's close to most tourist attractions, the Gare du Nord train station (Eurostar & direct train from CDG airport) and Gare de l'Est train station (Ice). No doubt the ideal base from which to explore Paris! On the third floor, it comprises : Lobby. Bright living room with a comfortable double sofa bed and a single fold out sofa bed, a dining table and chairs. Open and well equipped kitchen with : Induction stove. Oven+microwaves. Large fridge+freezer. Dishwasher. Washing machine. Coffee machine. Boiler. Toaster. Kitchenware. Bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and a desk. Bathroom with a shower, wc & window. Our apartment is newly renovated, and maintains its old features, including wooden floorboards and chimneys. Given the open living space and the large windows, the flat is bright and full of sunlight, all year round. Being located in one of the bobo hotspots of the city, it is quiet at night, as the flat is overlooking a garden & interior courtyard.
After university studies, I always found time to travel extensively and for long periods of time. I realised then how one appreciates to find a place where you feel at home, live as locals do; a place where you can enjoy breakfast with your choice of music in the background, where you can shop the local food stores and cook a beautiful diner for everybody; Well, even better if this place costs you roughly half what a hotel would cost you ! Travelling in many parts of the world made me quite laid back I guess; I just expect my guests to have a wonderful time in Paris and just want to come back as soon as possible....
Situated on the hip Rue Bichat, the building faces the historical Hopital Saint Louis (founded by Henri IV) that gives the street it's unique village atmosphere. It is particularly close (one block away) from Canal Saint Martin, where you'll love strolling along in the morning and sipping a drink in the evening. The neighbourhood, safe and trendy, one of the most popular and fastest growing at the moment, is busy with trendy cafes (Hotel du Nord, Chez Prune, Ten Belles, Le Comptoir General to name a few) and restaurants. There are supermarkets nearby and all kinds of foodstores. Le Marais is a 15 minutes walk away, as are Belleville or Les Grands Boulevards (that lead to the Opera Garnier). The nearest Metro stations (less than 10 minutes walk) are : Jacques Bonsergent (line 5) Republique (lines 3,8,9,11) Gare de l'Est (lines 7, 4, 5, as well as regional lines). The proximity to Gare du Nord train station also makes it a very convenient choice when arriving with Eurostar or from CDG airport. No doubt our apartment is the perfect base from which to explore Paris!
