Honfleur, a great place to visit, will return next year with my family, as we leave Le Harve ferry and visit friends in Brittany. Loved the seafood market and the lovely oyster and a glass of wine seating area

We were on the ground floor and could hear the people above us. There was a constant noise all night sounded like water flowing, it was cold and the exterior lights were on all night, the window only had net curtains so there was no way of dulling the light.

Very old and dated rooms and room facilities. Small size rooms only ok if you are there for a short stay. Everything including building exterior and room interior all very dated, only the reception and restaurant area is ok.
Quiet location and clean. With a little nice green area at the back of the building.

The bathroom in our room stank strongly of urine, worse than a public toilet. There is no excuse for this in a hotel. Poor cleaning and lack of hygiene.
The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

The attitude of the receptionist , despite booking a room for disabled guest & receiving confirmation from the hotel , i was given a normal room with no facilities for my wife who is disabled .

What I didn't expect was that local taxi drivers will not pick up from the hotel for trips of approximately a mile into the centre of town. Not even for a cash bounty! So, the choice was a walk along a main road or getting in the car again - after a long day's drive - and seeking out the best car park.
Easy to find on the main route into Honfleur from the Pont de Normandie. When it comes to Campanile, you know what to expect. I was keen to find somewhere to stay outside the mediaeval streets of Honfleur. But I was also keen to explore on the evening of my arrival.
