There was not one single thing wrong with this hotel and spa. This was by far the most luxurious hotel on our stay. It was just wonderful. The room, food, spa, property and staff is five stars!

BelgiumA stunning conversion of a distillery into a beautiful hotel. We have to mention the staff who were all so friendly but professional especially Cedric who gave us a tour of the hotel and explained the history while we waited for our room to be ready as we arrived early. Also, David who ran the cafe/bar. The Chais Monnet have raised the bar in 5 star hotels. The location is perfect, a short stroll into the center of Cognac. We will be back!

LithuaniaHaving stayed pre-Covid, we had high expectations. The bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely. Housekeeping were fantastic and the welcome cookies were a lovely treat. A complimentary demi bottle of Champagne provided for our wedding anniversary stay was a lovely touch. Live pianist at the jazz bar was a treat and the views from the rooftop bar were stunning. We enjoyed a lovely evening in the jazz bar, where the bartender took time to explain the nuances of Cognac and suggested some lovely tasting options. We love the location for strolling around the town and near the Charante River.

United KingdomLoved this hotel - the decor and rooms and pool all gorgeous. Definitely check out the rooftop bar as well! We loved being able to borrow electric bikes for free to tour the town. The service is also excellent - we accidentally left a couple of clothing items in the wardrobe and the hotel arranged for these to be sent back to us in the UK. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
