We stumbled across this place on our road trip to France and what a find it was. Traditional French hospitality at its best. The owner takes great care of everything - from the check in, to the running of the hotel, breakfast and dinner - and what a great job he does. Dinner is exceptional! Do eat there! We couldn't fault a thing and we utterly taken by its old fashioned charm. Would def. recommend!
The old building and the old style of the rooms, definitely not a chain feel like Ibis, Mercure etc. Staff were great , the young lady serving table was a great character. The bathroom/shower were up to date and very nice - good shower plenty of space and water. Really quiet and peaceful.
The hotel is in a good location for visiting lots of local sightseeing. Lovely for cycling the area.
Very nice little hotel that we used for a stopover on our way south. It has a cosy and countryside feel to it. The owner is a friendly chap who also speaks German and English without problems. Very impressive. We stayed for dinner which was good and the breakfast was tasty too. Place is clean, beds are decent, night was quiet and the other guests were nice too. What else do you want?
For some reason I thought the hotel was in a rural area; however, the property was from 1602 providing a fantastic atmosphere in the Dining Room. The owner was very dog friendly to our 2 cocker spaniels.
The Menu and quality of food and drink that was served was quite exceptional; a very nice Petit Chablis being served each evening.
The Owner was very helpful and cheerful
