United KingdomWe were made to feel very welcome by Dave and Pam and their pets! We stopped here on the way from Roscoff to the Dordogne with minimal detour. The large room with sitting area was very comfortable although we only used to sleep as we sat chatting with our hosts and their other guest most of the evening. Luckily we had preordered an evening meal, which was a wonderful experience as Dave worked as a high-end chef and they use only local organic ingredients. We did enjoy a lovely walk around part of the nearby lake when the heavy showers of the day let up. The setting is very peaceful and the breakfast with home made jams perfect. Really hope to go back again

We live in a beautiful tranquil rural setting in the Deux Sevres. Which has the cleanest air in Western Europe. The skies at night are so clear you feel as though you could reach out and touch the stars as there is no light pollution. We use organic products when ever possible. My husband is a professional chef having worked in some of the finest hotels and restaurant's in Europe and Middle East. We take great delight in preparing diner for our guests, which can be eaten on our terrace in the summer months. We have two beautiful well behaved Irish setters and black cat called Louis ready to greet you on your arrival. Dave also would be happy to run cookery courses for our guests which includes visits to local markets and producers.
With two beautiful irish setters , walking is probably our main leisure activity. There is a number of cycle paths on the disused railway lines. ( We have bicycles available for you to use ). There is also an abundance of wildlife and fauna to see , including deer, kopi, heron, cranes, egrets and various birds of prey. There is a 45 acre lake just beyond the garden where we fish for carp up to 40 pounds , sturgeon over a metre in length and various other coarse fish.
There is an abundance of activities to cater for all ages and tastes. We have a number of beautiful villages , award winning theme parks and unique festivals which are easily accessible . Puy du Fou - (recently voted for the second time " THE WORLDS BEST THEME PARK " by an independent panel of judges in Los Angeles . Futurscope , Venis Verte / Marais Potevain - The Venice of the Deux Sevres. La Rochelle - without a doubt the most beautiful sea side resort on west coast of France World Highland Games every 2 years and Annual Classic Car Rally both with in 15 mins of Chez Jasmin. We also have locally a Go Kart and beautiful Japanese Gardens to visit.
