The Cottage is situated in the rural heart of Brittany in the historic hamlet of Rosquelfen within very close proximity to the wonderful Lac De Guerledan considered one of the prettiest parts of Brittany and easy driving distance from the beautiful Pink Granite Coast to the north, and the Gulf of Morbihan to the south. It is ideally placed as Gouarec is just a 3 minute drive (or 20 min walk) where you will find all the necessary amenities, restaurants, bars & bike hire. The Nightingales cottage is in a Breton style sleeping 4 in two bedrooms. A travel cot can be supplied for either bedrooms. The ground floor is a spacious open plan area with exposed beams and a wood burner set into a huge original granite fireplace, two comfortable sofas, English satellite TV with DVD player, CD player, dining table and chairs, and well equipped and newly fitted kitchen area with built under electric oven, gas hob, cooker hood, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a DVD, and book library to suit all ages in the nearby play barn. Bedroom 1 with a double bed, Bedroom 2 with two single beds, both sharing a family shower room. It is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels. Electric heaters are available to heat the bedrooms and in addition a log burner for the cooler months. Travel cots, high chairs and other baby equipment are available free of charge, please ask for list. There is a rear door to the private enclosed garden and patio area with table, chairs, sunshade, barbecue and swings. There is a lockable gate which opens into the gardens with heated shared swimming pool and terrace area. We have lots of inflatables and dive toys for the swimming pool. A play barn at the side of the cottage has a large selection of toys, games and puzzles to keep little ones entertained for hours. Garden produce, homemade jams & eggs from our resident hens can be purchased from our courtyard larder.

Gouarec which is on the Nantes-Brest canal with lovely shaded canal paths for walking and cycling. All amenities here including restaurants, bars, baker, convenience shop and bike hire. Brittany's largest lake 10 minutes drive away with safe sandy beaches, swimming, boat hire and water sports.
