Just across the road from Moulins station, the hotel is simple, spotlessly clean, with lovely staff and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Was only sorry that the restaurant was closed on the day I was there.

I went for a big event but also visited the cathedral, the old town and - not to be missed - the opera costume museum. You need a car, I did see buses but they are not easily found. Ate at the La Face en Face - nice little unpretentious place beside the cathedral.

It's great for 2 people, and you can see a lot of thought has been put into the design of the apartment. The owner provides all the utensils you would need in the kitchen and even left a box of candles and essential oils, to really make you feel at home. The apartment is situated in a fantastic location within the center of Moulins, I was able to park my car outside the apartment for the whole weekend for just 60 cents, and everything was within walking distance.

We believe that it has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. To arrive after a 4-hour drive and find our table on their sun-drenched terrace waiting for us lifted our spirits. The following morning I felt unwell and they expressed empathy and suggested that we take advantage of the gardens and stay on as long as we wished. Well worth a diversion if you are in t that area.

The breakfast was superb. But the only thing which was sad is that the hotel no longer has a restaurant - and to arrive on a Sunday means that everything in the town was closed! However, the staff were happy to mark maps with catering establishments etc. The very good restaurant in the town is the opposite the station: Restaurant de la Gare.StephenCzech Republic

Unfortunately, when we came (pretty late around 10PM) the parking was full. But since the next day was Sunday, the hotel staff allowed to park right in front of the entrance where the delivery cars stop (on Sunday no one would come, so it was OK to stay there).

Our room overlooked the garden and was very spacious. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen, a strong hot shower and fluffy towels. Our host was very helpful with information on where to eat and the breakfast was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
