BelgiumWe would recommend the Grand Hôtel Dauphiné in Toulon and will probably stay there again when we next visit the city. It is very centrally located in the old town and close to the train and bus station and the port. It is a small, friendly and welcoming hotel. A real bonus is the small pool on the roof terrace, which is above the 5th floor, with great views over Toulon and towards the port. Breakfast, which is comprehensive and very nice, is served on the top/5th floor. There is a narrow terrace outside the breakfast room so there is the option, subject to numbers, of sitting at a bar/table and having your coffee overlooking the rooftops of Toulon.
