The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area.
The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area. You need to drive to othe places or have a bike. The golf course seemed popular but not crowded. The spa looks good, but I didn't use it on this occasion. The pool is outside with a canopy built over, popular with families, but at other times quiet for a proper swim. Short drive to the next village with swimming and watersports facilities. Picnic area and several food outlets and toilets and showers. Free parking places. On the other side of the lake is another village with a larger beach and more facilities. The city of Troyes has a fine medieval centre. But I would recommend a drive to Piney for more good examples of medieval architecture.

The odd exterior architecture--1980s modern--is interesting, but the interior is well laid out. The room was large and well laid out also. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, The window opened and had a screen to keep the flying insects outside. I'm not sure what led me to believe that but it didn't! About a 25 minute drive into Troyes which was absolutely stunning and well worth a visit.
