It is an old town with renovated centrum which is a good base to explore the region of Walloon and Northern Picardië (Bernissart, Aubeschies, Bavay, Valenciennes, …). Also aside lays a big forest which includes an old mine terril which offers an excellent viewing point over the area.

Good to have a quality hotel as for a while, there was very little. This hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom. Quiet.
