Beautiful old style house and inimitable hospitality! Mme Chantal can also prepare a dinner on request, so we could enjoy some nice homemade dishes in the evening on top of nice breakfast.

A real taste of French hospitality in a quirky but fascinating home. Mme is great fun - doesn't speak English, so you might need to practice your schoolboy/girl french. As others have said, you would need to be bonkers not to eat in the evening. Really authentic simple but delicious food and exceptional value. Breakfast just as good - unlimited bowls of coffee, fresh baguettes and a selection of Mme's homemade jam. Would return at the drop of a hat ( and almost certainly will). Merci Madame!

Our stay in la haie de cerf was a wonderful experience. The owner is a marvelous and kind women who received us so good. The garden is absolutely nice and peacefull. The room was very luxury, spacious and very clean. Chantal cooked us an superb dinner and the breakfast was over-the-top. Highly recommend!! We are certainly going back to this fantastic place.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way to Germany. The location is very rural so there is not much to do at night but this suited us just fine. The owner is a lovely lady who only spoke French but even with my limited French we managed Okay. My wife thought the room a bit dark but I liked it and it was certainly quaint. We arranged to have dinner and it was amazing, all homemade and so many courses we couldn’t eat it all. There was even a decanter of apparatiff and a bottle of wine. All of the jams at breakfast were also homemade.
