Le Bouscat is a residential area north of Bordeaux centre - around 15 minute tram ride. Its quite suburban and not a lot going on so would only recommend as a short stay location if you are visiting the city. Some owners are asking 140+ Euros a night to stay in their flat here `so I would recommend you find a boutique hotel closer to the city.

Our flight was cancelled so we chose to stay here rather than going into Bordeaux city centre for the night. We were so pleased we did! Lovely, quiet and beautifully appointed. Good sized rooms and a delicious dinner. We stayed on a Monday night when the restaurant was closed but they offered us a grazing menu of cheeses, smoked trout and delicious small plates. Perfect.

The view of the pool was perfect, and I enjoyed a swim most days, the staff were all professional, yet friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious.

The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was exquisite. The pool is heated and excellent for relaxing in after a hot day in town. The tram stop is outside the hotel and gets you to Bordeaux town centre in a few minutes.
