location very central. breakfast more adequate. staff very accommodating
Hôtel Château Tilques was built in 1891 on the ruins of a 17th century Manor House and is located only 3.1 mi from Saint Omer. It has an indoor swimming pool and a tennis court.

Great location and stunning hotel. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is located in the quiet village of Wisques, near the impressive Saint- Paul Abbey and surrounded by a 5-acre park. Most rooms are located in small cottages.

There are a number of individual cabins set in a very quiet and peaceful location. We were biking and arrived on a Sunday when the restaurant was closed. The hotel is too remote to get to any place for food without a car, so we thought we were in for an evening of energy bars to eat, but the staff prepared not only a wonderful dinner for us, but breakfast also! And if what they prepared for us on a moment's notice is any indication, the actual restaurant must be amazing! They really took care of us and we are so grateful.
This hotel is located next to the Saint-Omer SNCF Train Station and features an early-19th-century décor. It offers modern rooms with free WiFi access and a brasserie-style restaurant.
Arques, Longuenesse and St Omer are all very close.

As a town it's a bit rundown - seems that the crystal factory is the main employer. There's a lot of construction going on, and the main square is ok but if you drive to St Omer (15mins) it's a lot bigger and you have more choice for eating out, also an impressive cathedral there.

It is close to St Omer, which is a lovely town with cobbled streets with plenty of eating places and ample on street parking but not at weekends. There are many sights to see including an old church ruin that you walk around.

We only had an overnight stay on the way to a week in the French alps so can't really comment on Arques although we have walked around the town on previous stays and it is well worth a look, it has a lovely park area where you can sit and have a picnic in nice weather, there is also a Steam train that you can ride on when it is running, it is well worth the ride.

Arques is a lovely little town.
Arques is a lovely little town. Market is there on a Tuesday morning. The Friterie is open on a Sunday night, not sure what other nights it opens. Cristal Bar is great. A good base to visit WW1 places of interest.
We asked for a room at the rear of the hotel away from the road and we were given one in a quiet location. We arrived after 9pm and tried to book in on our English debit card but it wouldn't work so we had to phone the lady on the emergency number. She was there very quickly, opened up the reception area and booked us in all with a friendly smile even though we speak very little French. She was a credit to you company. Breakfast is always good with plenty of choice of bread, cakes, cereals, juice and coffee/tea.
A good location, easy to access the motorway, and easy reach of the Calais ferry terminal. Plenty of parking. Rooms are a very basic, but a decent size, and clean. The public areas of the hotel are open and airy, which gives it a nicer 'feel' than other budget hotels. All clean enough, but showing a bit more wear and tear since my last stay a few years ago. Excellent breakfast. Overall a very good choice for a 'no frills' stopping point before / after ferry.
This hotel is a simple budget hotel and great for an overnight stopover, we wanted somewhere to sleep with basic facilities and this hotel gave us exactly that. Clean functional room. pleasant staff and not a bad breakfast for the money. We requested ground floor room, as my mother in law is unable to climb stairs and the hotel gave us what we asked for. You can't expect more from a hotel in this category.
Ok it's not a 5* hotel - but for a 1 night stay before you get the ferry it's fine. Sheets were clean, everything worked in the room, reasonably comfortable beds (family of 3), and for £41 for the night, it's great value
The staff were all pleasant & helpful. We only had breakfast on one morning, but at 5e 50 it was good value for money. The hotel was in a quiet location on the outskirts of the town, with a large private car park
Nothing much this time. We have stayed at this hotel many, many times before over the last several years. Most of the rooms are good value for money and the staff are courteous and helpful.
