The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property is absolutely stunning, & comfortable. It was better than we could have expected! It was big enough for everyone to have their own space, while plenty of room for us to spend time together. The outdoor space was open and had all kinds of fun activities for adults and kids to partake in. And we hired a personal chef for a night (through the hosts) and had an exceptional dinner and conversation with Chef Henri & his wife. I definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely come back again someday!

TOUT. Le site est formidable, les paysages environnants sont très beaux, multiples châteaux, sites historiques, jardins remarquables. Belles pierres blondes. Les propriétaires sont d'une exquise gentillesse, à l'écoute et disponibles. Ils demeurent juste en face du gite. Très grand jardin, en fait parc avec trampoline, toboggan, jeu pour les enfants. Superbe piscine. A refaire..

Des hôtes charmants et à l'écoute de leurs clients. Je recommande vivement!

Les Charmes de Carlucet consists of a 5 star, magnificent 18th Century 6 bedroom Manor house which sleeps up to 14 people. The domaine is set in 20,000m2 of beautiful, private secluded gardens with large outdoor heated pool & Sauna with stunning view of the surrounding Countryside. Perfectly situated to give easy access to the best of everything the area has to offer, just 15 minutes drive from the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat & 15 Mins from the world famous caves of Lascaux. In the heart of the Dordogne "Golden triangle". All our bedrooms have private bathrooms & air conditioning. There is UK & French TV channels & free wifi. The Manor house has 6 large bedrooms, a large 70m2 living room with wood burning fireplace, a large fully equipped professional kitchen, separate dining room over looking the large heated pool and gardens. We can also provide a professional chef if you wish to have catered services. The property has been recently completely renovated & refurbished throughout to the highest standards of comfort & style. The Manor house is located just outside the pretty village of Salignac where you can find all the amenities you need & many popular restaurants.
We are Kerry, Tomas & our daughter Evie. We are a British/Swedish couple. We have lived in France since 2012. After many years of working in the corporate world, we decided to follow a lifetime dream, to run a Holiday business in the beautiful Dordogne. We have lived and worked in many Countries in the world following our careers and enjoyed travelling extensively. We know what we like from staying in beautiful places. Our goal is to bring the same high standards that we appreciate to Les Charmes de Carlucet as we continue our new adventure in this incredibly beautiful corner of the world. We are passionate and committed about offering the highest standard and best service to you ensuring your stay is as enjoyable, relaxing and as memorable as it possibly can be. The nearest restaurant to €œLes Charmes is 5 minutes walk away, and it's a little pub, the Black Duck run by a French family who speak good English. In Salignac, 2km away, you have a weekly local produce market, also a supermarket, bakery, & 3 restaurants including 1 with a Michelin Star, Le Meynardie. We frequent it regularly for fresh varied salads, local dishes, great local wine which our guests really enjoy too. We have other fine restaurants a short drive away & many others in Sarlat of course. Our region is vast and full of historic sites, caves, castles, markets, beautiful villages. The beautiful Dordogne river valley is close by with canoeing & swimming from the many beaches. There are 3 fantastic cycle routes which pass our front door & also many stunning walking routes through the spectacular Countryside. We are very lucky to be situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir, just 15 mins from the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat, & 20 mins from the world famous caves of Lascaux.
