The elegant detached Cottage is set within the beautiful walled grounds of the main house. On entering the cottage, the floor tiled hallway leads to a quality furnished double bedroom. The hallway also leads to the shower room & W.C. Up the hallway the stairs lead to a comfortable and spacious open plan living area consisting of living, dining and kitchen area, with all the amenities you could hope for to ensure a relaxing and pleasurable stay.
I am an open friendly person wanting to ensure our guests get fantastic service in elegant and comfortable surroundings. We are two families who have bought a lovely old Maison de Maitre with a gorgeous little gite which we have enjoyed renovating. We are always on hand to help our guests with advice and directions to nearby attractions etc. I enjoy various crafts such as patchwork, furniture renovation and pottery. As a family we all enjoy wining and dining and are keen cooks. We love to read and can supply plenty of "good reads" to our guests. We have travelled extensively throughout France and have enjoyed holiday trips to other European Countries, Cyprus and Tunisia. My husband and brother in law have also lived in Germany, Italy and Cyprus. We have always enjoyed our adventures and my three boys always remind me of our "day trip" to Pompeii which took all day to get there and consequently needed an overnight hotel stay with no luggage. During our travels we have gathered many funny stories which we are always happy to share over a glass of wine!
St Vincent La Chatre is a small farming village, consisting of a École primaire, Mairie, Bureau de poste, Tennis courts, football pitch and Salle de Fete. The towns of Lezay and Melle are close by and provide all facilities.
