Les Sechoirs is a mansion from 1780 with three attractive gites in a unique location on the Lot river. Here you can enjoy the peace or be active by boating, fishing or swimming in the lovely swimming pool overlooking the Lot river. The beautiful swimming pool offers a breathtaking view of the Lot and is surrounded by a large covered terrace with sun loungers. There are also two spacious tobacco barns (Séchoirs) on the site, where you can store bicycles. In one of the tobacco barns there is a communal room with a table tennis table, a pool table and a cozy sitting area with an extensive collection of books. The park-like garden also has a jeu de boule court, a trampoline and football goals for additional recreational options.
With a great love for France and the dream of living by a river, Frank immediately fell in love with Les Séchoirs. I love the rural character and wonderful climate of the Lot et Garonne. Living on the river ensures that I can also do my hobbies fishing and boating.
Les Séchoirs is located in the south-west of France in the Aquitaine region and is situated on the banks of the River Lot - one of France's mightiest rivers - close to its confluence with the Garonne. The surrounding landscape is beautifully green and fertile, earning it the nickname "the Tuscany of France". It has rolling hills and fertile plains with a patchwork of vines, corn, fruit orchards and vegetable gardens interspersed with beautiful villages and 40 bastides. Furthermore, Clairac is close to the extensive vineyards of the Bordeaux region and also a short drive from the sights of the Dordogne. Lot et Garonne has something for everyone with numerous walking and cycling routes, water sports, golf and horse riding. The people are warm, friendly and proud of their rich history, gastronomic delights and delicious wines. Each village warmly welcomes visitors who will enjoy the markets, the sights and the chance to be as active or relaxed as they wish... At the moment, Lot et Garonne is a well-kept secret with minimal tourism, wide open spaces and little traffic. ..absolutely the perfect choice for a wonderful French holiday or short stay....
