Set in the heart of Castillonnèes medieval village, L'Entrée Chambres d'Hôtes, Bar & Restaurant is a B&B located north of Lot-et-Garonne a 25-minute drive from Bergerac.

Right on the town square and set in a period building. The rooms are charming and the food in the ground floor restaurant was excellent and prepared by our lovely host Alex. He is an accomplished chef and the produce was super fresh. A great stay and a beautiful Bastide town.

Cours de Thomazeau, hotel in Issigeac

Offering a terrace and quiet street view, Cours de Thomazeau is situated in Castillonnès, 23 km from Villeneuve sur Lot Golf Club and 26 km from Barthe Golf Course.

A stunning house as beautiful inside as out- a flawless renovation in perfectly pitched appropriately timeworn antique luxe taste. The hosts Jenny and Ron were so kind and made me very welcome indeed. I can highly recommend a visit - not only to this truly lovely house but to the magical area in and around Castilliones. I was lucky enough to be there during the hotel’s concert season and saw international cabaret star Christine Bovill performing chansons. Two great nights with great company and perhaps a just a tad too much vino on my part 😜

It is a very quiet place and very nice friendly hosts. Around the forest, garden, lavender field. Refreshing swimming pool, although the water is not so clear because the water from the nearby lake is used. But clean.

    Amazing market on Sunday morning.

Amazing market on Sunday morning. The small town is located in perfect distance to visit Eymet and Villereal and not far from the airport. Free parking everywhere and wonderfully friendly people. There are lovely cafes and several outstanding restaurants. Visit Le Bouchon Medieval - we'll be booking to visit L'Atelier next time we go.

Issigeac is a delightful petite medieval village. The people are so kind and friendly. The Sunday Market is one of the best in the region. It’s a bit less touristy than some other areas. A place that I want to come back and visit again and again. If you love fashion you must visit Corner Arsenic, delicious lunch at Petite Treille and a wonderful jewelry shop just across the street from the restaurant. A delightful excursion in this area

Issigeac is a very pretty medieval village. Full of character & compact. Lovely to wander around the winding streets, then stop for a coffee & watch the world go by. Nice selection of artisan shops, restaurants & great Sunday morning market. Good central location for exploring the Dordogne region.

Great little town with fabulous Sunday market and medieval architecture. Limited dining facilities but the pub lets you bring in takeaway from the market stalls as long as you have a drink or two. And it has free wifi!

More authentic than Eyemet where I also spent several days.

More authentic than Eyemet where I also spent several days. Fewer restaurant choices but quieter and as close as you can get to stepping back in time to an other century............Sunday market is NOT to be missed.
