Our Chambre d’hotes is a beautiful 17th-century townhouse located in the centre of the medieval town of Bellac, 500 metres from the train station and only a 30-minute drive to Limoges airport. Our rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated with period furnishings and offer complimentary toiletries and fresh bottled water. Each room offers a different view of either the pretty garden area, rural landscape, or the Hôtel de Ville. To ensure you can stay connected, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. In the morning, you can sample the fresh bread, croissants, and pain au chocolate that we source from our local boulangerie which is served with butter and jam. In addition to this, we serve homemade fresh fruit salad, our signature ‘Bellachonne Breakfast Brulée’ which consists of fruit compote, Greek yogurt which is topped with sugar and finished off to have crispy caramel topping. We also serve tea, coffee, and fruit juice. All our ingredients are fresh and locally sourced offering you a first-class breakfast experience served in our charming dining room. La Maison Bellachonne looks forward to warmly welcoming you for an unforgettable stay in Bellac.
We took over La Maison Bellachonne four years ago. It had been a long-standing dream of ours to move to France permanently – we had been thinking about it for almost 20 years! We have always loved France, the beautiful and varied landscapes, the incredible food and wine, and of course the slower pace of life. What also appealed to us was that France was an easy gateway to the UK and other European countries. After years of working long days in the UK, we were ready to find a more flexible way of earning a living and that’s when our property search began in France. When we saw La Maison Bellachonne, we knew immediately that we had found our dream home and business. We have spent the past four years lovingly renovating and improving La Maison Bellachonne, adding four new bathrooms, new luxurious super king-size beds, and high-quality bedding so that our guests can be guaranteed a wonderful night’s sleep in beautiful surroundings. Bellac is a pretty Medieval town with ancient streets and houses. You can take an evening stroll by the 13th Century Church to the Rives de Vincou and enjoy an Apero at the Bar by the ancient Pont de la Pierre. It is also a town with all modern facilities such as Banks/Supermarkets/Restuarants - so ideal for your stay in France, whether it is overnight or longer.
