The host was very helpful and friendly, greeting us with a beer, some books about the local area and he drove us to the station at the end of our stay. Also, the breakfast for two was extremely generous.

Everything. This was easily the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Francoise and Francois are the perfect hosts. They made us feel like part of their family. Best breakfasts ever.

Sailly-Laurette is a small quiet place, there was a bar restaurant place which we didn’t get a chance to visit but I think closed quite early.
There are cycle ways along the canal and bikes can be hired locally. We chose this location because it was ideal for visiting Albert and other places of interest related to the First World War.

This is a three bedroom house (all doubles) with one bathroom and separate toilet. It has a decent kitchen and living area, and was quite comfortable for the five of us. The address was tricky to find - it's in a little laneway which branches off the main part of the street - and we had to enlist the help of a couple of locals, which was interesting as they didn't speak English and we didn't speak French! But we got there in the end. There is also a car space opposite the house. You're very close to all the WW1 memorial sites and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.
