Our trip was short just three days but, we visited the most important tourist sites: The Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine River, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs-Élysées. I think 5 or 7 days would have been better. The food is amazing, with fresh croissants everywhere:) Also, the boat ride is a must-go, just try to go early so you can get more for your money, choose the hop-on hop-off sightseeing cruises the first ride takes you to all the main sites and gives you an idea of what you want to do. The hop-on and hop-off ticket is valid for one entire day until 7 p.m. We love the souvenirs; they are cheap and so nice. The Metro trains work very well, and you will spend much less, you can also take an Uber or an official taxi, but your cost will increase and the traffic in Paris is crazy, just plan accordingly. Best wishes!

Great travel connections using train and metro.
Great travel connections using train and metro. These are fairly priced and will get you everywhere you need to in Paris.
We visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame (still under construction since the fire), Musee Rodin, Musee D'Orsay, Louvre, Catacombs. It really helps to book all of these types of things in advance.
Paris can be expensive for dining out.
When you get to the airport (we used CDG), DON'T be tempted to jump into a random taxi offering a good rate. Use the train/metro connections instead. It feels a lot safer, is roughly the same length of time, and cheaper!

Paris is very crowded with tourists, even in the off season. You must book what you want to see ahead or you will miss out. Be wary of 3rd party booking sites for attractions. They cost more, and the tickets don’t always work. Book directly from the ticket office of the attraction, if possible.

Paris is an amazing city; vibrant, elegant, stylish - everything one would associate and imagine Paris to be. The city is easy to get around either via foot, metro, river, bike or taxi. Food options are plentiful and prices start from very reasonable ( 3 courses for 18 euros) and tasty boulangerie sandwiches or coffee for a few euros available frequently. The people were generally very friendly and polite, bucking the apparent rude Parisian stereotype, and were quick to speak in English when my French abandoned me! A few disappointments included lots of pre Olympic building works in and around some of the major attractions; far too many street sellers and tricksters ( 3 cup ball hustlers were everywhere at the Eiffel tower!); and Versaille, which was extremely crowded, poorly crowd managed, expensive and somewhat underwhelming. However, the grounds were very pleasant and hiring a bike to wave our way through the extensive hrounds added to the enjoyment - quick tip: avoid going into the palace and head straight for the gardens, admiring the buildings from the outside.

Paris is a place I have always been keen to visit and it did not disappointment, despite the awful weather while I was there I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and everything I did, I would definitely recommend this city as a weekend getaway but I could definitely have stayed longer than the 3 nights I was there as well.
I visited all the major sights which were all beautiful, I would definitely suggest the Dior museum if you enjoy that aspect of Paris or Musee d'Ors which had the most beautiful art, of course the Eiffel tower and Louvre are a must and whilst some may think they are overrated I think I would be totally willing to pay the fee and go back again.

Incredibly overpriced and too often unpleasant customer service (proper rudeness experienced). General prices in most areas: cappuccino 7€, very average 2 course meal with tap water for €40 pp.
Gin and tonic for no less than €14.
Good luck!
I booked it because it was cheaper than other hotels. According to its price, it was very good. A cleaning lady came every day. The staff was very nice and cooperative. The room was small but cozy and nice. We had our own toilet, even if it was a small one. But that is understandable because of the low price. The hotel is surrounded by many options to eat, there is a Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel. And a very good bakery. All in all, it was a very good deal. I would stay here again, if I go to Paris.
The room was comfortable. Not huge, but this is Paris. One side of the closet didn't fully open (door hit the bed) which was inconvenient to put away my suitcase, but manageable. Bathroom was a good size. Breakfast in a nice room in the basement had far more options than I expected to find in France, and very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is convenient to Montmartre and very close to multiple public transport options. Good restaurants nearby, too.
The staff was so kind especially the one that looks like timothée chalamet😂 jokes aside, it's very hard to find something good in Paris for a cheap price.
So I was so happy that I found this hotel.
Yes the room is small, but that's paris after all.
It was clean and the area was also good. Of course not the ''best area'' but we were two girls walking around there during night time so no problem.
And indeed: there is a super good patisserie around the corner!!
We only had the breakfast on the last day, but it was a great selection, especially for the price! The decor of the rooms was also lovely - not bland chain or too weird or cheap-looking, just nice boutique hotel. Location was very useful for catching the Metro around Paris and when we arrived at Gare du Nord it was a very short walk from the station. We requested two rooms next to each other as we travelled with kids and they were able to do that no problem.
The only noise was from Bastille Day fireworks.
Solange in the breakfast area was friendly and superb. She asked me if I taught French. I have been studying it since 1960. All over France, people understood me, and gave me compliments. Desk clerks were fabulous, but Solange was head and shoulders above everyone else.
I loved having a safe. I felt protected inside your hotel. Also loved the children's play area! Everything was so clean.
Clean and Modern hotel in an excellent location. I tried to get a package delivered to the hotel during my stay but unfortunately la Poste delivered late and I had already left France. I kindly requested the hotel forward my package to another address and they did so promptly, and free of charge. They simply would not accept me to pay for the shipping. I was shocked and so impressed with their professionalism and kindness.
We stayed here for 5 days. This price is too cheap for 5 days in Paris. The room was very cute, it was close to the station and it was convenient to go anywhere. There are many nice shops around the hotel. The room has all the daily necessities. If there are 10 stars, I would like to give them 10. I was very pleased with the really nice and cute room. Thank you very much. I recommend this hotel to my friends.
The hotel is quite close to Gare Du Nord, about a 12 minute walk. It also has two metro stations on the same road.
It is also really close to Sacre Coeur. I walked from the hotel to all the major sithgt in Paris, so
The hotel was very cheap for Paris, and the reception staff were really nice. I forgot my adaptor and they lent me a plug each night to charge my phone.
what a lovely hotel! even better than the pictures! the staff was so kind for making dinner reservations for my family, location perfect for the Eiffel Tower visit. next to monoprix (the target of France :)) great breakfast including healthy superfood bowls. it was the perfect 1st night hotel for 1 night before an extended stay in the south of France
I booked it for its proximity to Gare de Lyon, expecting a cheap tacky hotel. Hotel Riesner was wonderful! Delightful staff on check in, very clean modern room and bathroom, and the most comfortable bed in our three months of travel in France. A great breakfast, provided at 6.30 a.m. because we were leaving early. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Phenomenal staff, willing to assist in every way we asked them to, always with a smile. Fantastic breakfast, incredible scrambled eggs (rare in France), fresh baked madeleines and crepes, really impressed. Location right next to line 14 metro that runs right through Paris. Enormous lobby with food and cocktails served into the evening.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The baby cot was already installed when we arrived. Breakfast was ok but not impressive - considering food in France- but good enough for an early start. Hotel is Close to gate du Nord, which is great if you arrive by train. 20 min walk to Montmartre and Louvre ( in opposite direction).
The staff of this hotel is great and very helpful. We really liked the breakfast (it would be nice to add omeletes as it's traditional French food). All in all this hotel is probably the most "value for money" hotel I have ever stayed. Paris is pricey but the price of this hotel was cheap!
The France Louvre is one of my favourite hotels when in Paris. it’s nice, cosy and affordable (although prices have gone up last year but what hasn’t got more expensive). inspite of it being 42 degrees outside and no AC in the hotel, it was comfortable and not too hot inside
The hotel exudes an authentic style, and the rooms are notably spacious, especially for France. Furthermore, the hotel boasts a convenient location, particularly for those arriving by train or plane, as the RER station is situated nearby.
Great location near SNCF station. I'm sorry I didn't get the guy's name at the front desk but he was hands down the friendliest hotel employee we met in 5 weeks of traveling through France. Give that guy a raise!
Very nice staff who tried to help with any request. Great location close to the Pantheon and other Paris sights. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was the best we had over a three week trip to France.
Great location, clean, cheap (for city centre Paris) and nice friendly staff. If you're more interested in the location than the facilities then it's good for the non fussy traveller.
A nice hotel at a fair price in a great location, right next to the Montparnasse train station and the M13 line. Great for Paris as well as travel around France.
- the location is central however if you pick a hotel 12 min walk further north you’re in the best area in Paris
- cheap due to deals on booking.com for me
