Everything was excellent, Parking was great with ample room, tucked away off the small road behind the property. Location is fantastic a short walk and your in the centre of Pickering. The house and garden were beautiful very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was great plenty of choice a good size and was delicious. Our Hosts were amazing nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful . The whole experience was awesome and would highly recommend 17 Burgate.

Alan & Ashley gave us a warm welcome and provided us tea and homemade cakes on arrival which we had in there beautiful garden. It also provides guaranteed off street parking for your stay at the rear of the building. The location is perfect if visiting the NYMR Station and within easy walking distance to local restaurants and pubs. The room we had was spacious elegant and had all the facilities we needed. The bed was very comfortable with good- quality bedding. If you are staying in this area this is the place to stay, and I would even recommend using it as a base to explore the surrounding areas. It is a beautiful house and you wont be disappointed.

  • If I book a delux double room can you accommodate my two dogs too. I will be bringing a cage for them. We looking at avail for 31st jul and 1aug

Situated between the Market Place and the Castle 17 Burgate has private parking and a secluded garden. The best standards in customer service and care meet modern facilities and traditional standards. Restful luxury for the weary traveller

We are Pat and Will Oxley and we bought 17 in 2004.We enjoy living in this lovely part of North Yorkshire with its easy access to so many places.Pickering is a lively Market Town with good independent shops,eateries and community spirit

Pickering is an ancient Market town and the home of the North Yorks Moors Railway with steam trains onto the Moors and on to. Whitby. The town has a excellent folk museum(Beck Isle) and amazing medieval wall paintings in the parish church(St Peter and St Paul) With about 100 independent shops and businesses there is very little you can't get and there is a standing flea market and an antiques centre. Pickering is well blessed with places to get a drink and a bite cafes, pubs, restaurants, hotels and a bistro. The town is a wonderful base to explore the whole area and very handy for both Flamingoland and Castle Howard
